ABOUT

Vision & MISSION

Our vision as a Credit Union Co-Operative Society, is to be the leading provider of financial solutions, by empowering our members to manage and achieve their desired social and economic goals, through education and counseling, while advocating thrift, the wise use of credit and the practice of co-operative principles.

HISTORY

HISTORY

The Cathedral Credit Union was born in the early 1940’s in a parish where thrift was a lost art and the moneylender omnipresent, taking as much as 100% on small loans. Savings and membership increased slowly and by the end of 1945, there were 30 members with $394.00 saved. For a number of years, the credit union was restricted to Catholics but opened its doors in 1971 to include all persons residing and/or working in the ecclesiastical region of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Membership now stands at over 10,000 members.
